Scotsman Andy Murray eached his first career Masters Series in Cincinnati

In a couple very definition, the Scotsman Andy Murray, 21, won by 7-6 and 7-6 to Serbian Novak Djokovic and reached his first career Masters Series in Cincinnati

CINCINNATI - The British Andy Murray won his first Masters Series with victory in the final of the Cincinnati tournament before the Serbian Novak Djokovic, who defeated Rafael Nadal in the semi-finals postponed and thus the official proclamation of Spanish as number one world.

Murray needed two hours and 23 minutes to close the scoring at 7-6 (4) and 7-6 (5), a result of a tight end when the British left many balls escape game.

Djokovic, the third player in the world, became a favourite for this final after getting beat Nadal for the second time this year. The previous was in Indian Wells semi-finals by 6-3 and 6-2.

Not for nothing, the Serbian reached the final with a 4-1 advantage on Murray, ninth in the world, in their confrontations, although this season came tied to a triumph.

Djokovic was the triumph in Monte Carlo and the British last week in the quarterfinals of the tournament in Toronto, which then lost to Nadal in the semi-finals by 6-3 and 7-6.

Murray was finally lifted with the most important title of his career today. It also cut short the number of victories Djokovic in a final ATP Masters Series.

The Serbian was unable to complete one of the best weeks of his career after defeating Nadal.

But for Nadal’s defeat meant the point apart and a streak of 32 consecutive victories, including titles in Hamburg, Roland Garros, Queen’s, Wimbledon and Canada.

His record this year was 64 victories and eight defeats. Cincinnati is the only Masters Series in which he was unable to reach the final.
