After days of uncertainty the Fife today decided to take action and demanded the clubs to release players younger than 23 years convened by its selections for the Olympic Games in Beijing

“The release of players younger than 23 years has always been compulsory for all clubs. This same principle applies for Beijing 2008,” said Joseph Blatter, president of Fifa, in a circular sent to all member associations.
